DO make the new design functional. Yes, looks are important, but if this remodel that you’ve invested tons of time and money into doesn’t make logical sense, you will regret it.  Your remodeled space needs to be a proper working kitchen. Good architectural design “solves functional requirements first and aesthetics second. A good working floor plan allows you to live in your house with ease and comfort; it will function properly and help make your remodeled home feel and look appropriate”.

Now, I’m not saying that if you really love the hot tub life that this wouldn’t work for you. Me? I’m not really a hot tubbing kind of gal. Especially not in the middle of the house. The “spa room” wasn’t my speed and I knew I wanted to remove it. Much to the kids’ dismay, the ability to remodel this room was a make it or break it for me. Either the hot tub went or we didn’t buy the house. Thankfully, we made it happen and the story is quite remarkable!
We were blessed in so many ways by this project. Thankfully the wall was not load bearing. Our contractor traded us his labor for the hot tub. We were able to safely remove the hot tub when there were many moments that we weren’t sure it would make it! Plus, we were able to track down 9 year old discontinued flooring. God was certainly at work through the whole process and we are so grateful!

Another thing to think about is eliminating or relocating doorways that currently disrupt circulation. If you absolutely have to have multiple doorways in the kitchen, try to group them in one area to confine circulation to one or two routes. Another great rule of thumb to follow: Rooms that aren’t related to the kitchen shouldn’t connect to the kitchen.
Begin each day with a grateful heart. The large-lettered grateful message is painted on the smooth side of three wide wooden boards nailed together as an expression of great daily expectations. Placed handily over a single shelf with greenery and a wood-carved floral tray containing two silver and glass decanters, this sentiment is a great daily motivator.
In this image, we have designed the dining room of the house beautifully by keeping the main focus on the attraction of the house. The captivating decoration of the wall with the firepit is making this dining room arrangement simply attractive at the very first sight. You can also locate some graphics on the wall to increase the beauty of the room.
Cotton or linen fibers, brilliant sparkling glass, pewter highlights, and articulated wooden spindles give a well-appointed room a hint of authentic vintage-inspired flair. The proper balance, when mixed with cross back chairs and chairs covered in stitched tapestry designs, “clash” together in a harmonious mix that will make any throwback design an updated treasure.
Liven up your space by featuring pretty prints on rugs, window treatments, pillows nad more. Block print dhurrie rugs can command a pretty penny. To get the look for less, use a pretty wall stencil to apply a pattern to a large piece of artist canvas or drop cloth with a foam stencil brush. For an 8' by 10' rug, you'll need about a quart of standard interior paint in a satin finish. Wash stencil every other use to keep paint from clumping and elaving unwanted marks on the rug.
